1. Introduction & Scope

These Terms and Conditions set out the rules and guidelines for using our website, louisepowellconsulting.com, and purchasing any of our coaching services, courses, or consultancy packages. By booking any service with Louise Powell Consulting, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

2. Services Provided & Medical Disclaimer

  • Coaching Scope: Louise Powell Consulting offers coaching, mentoring, and educational guidance related to neurodivergence, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and life transitions.

  • Non-Clinical & Non-Medical: Our services do not constitute medical advice, clinical diagnosis, psychotherapy, or psychiatric assessment. They are not a replacement for NHS care or professional mental health services.

  • Client Responsibility: Clients (and/or their guardians) remain fully responsible for their own physical, mental, and emotional well-being. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your GP, call 111, or reach out to emergency services.

3. Eligibility & Age Restrictions

  • Age Requirement: Coaching services aimed at individuals are available to clients aged 16 and above.

  • Clients Aged 16–17: For clients under 18 years of age, consent from a parent or legal guardian may be requested prior to starting sessions, particularly regarding payment agreements and safeguarding protocols.

4. Booking, Payments, and Cancellations

4.1 Advance Booking Requirement

To ensure all necessary administrative onboarding can be completed and to allow sufficient time to tailor your support, all initial coaching sessions must be booked at least seven (7) days in advance.

If you select a booking date that falls within this 7-day window, our team will contact you directly via email to reschedule your start date to an appropriate time.

4.2 Payment Terms

All payments for coaching sessions, packages, and programmes must be made in full at the time of booking unless a formal payment plan has been explicitly agreed upon in writing.

4.3 Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • 10-Week Coaching Programme: If you purchase a 10-Week Coaching Programme and wish to cancel your booking, you are eligible for a 50% refund of the total fee paid within the first two weeks of your package starting. Cancellations outside of this time frame are non refundable. To request a cancellation, you must email enquiries@louisepowellconsulting.com.

  • All Other Services & Products: All other bookings—including but not limited to 1-to-1 standalone coaching sessions, 8-week programmes, school consultation packages, corporate workshops, and downloadable digital materials—are strictly non-refundable.

  • Statutory Consumer Rights: Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel digital service agreements. However, if you request that coaching sessions begin within this 14-day period, you acknowledge that you waive your right to a full refund once services have commenced.

4.4 Rescheduling & Missed Sessions

For programmes involving live 1-to-1 sessions, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to reschedule an existing session. Missed sessions or cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will be forfeited and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

5. Confidentiality & Safeguarding

  • Confidentiality: All personal information, discussions, and session details shared between the client and Louise Powell Consulting will remain strictly confidential.

  • Safeguarding Exceptions: Confidentiality may be overridden if required by UK law, or if there is a reasonable belief that the client or another person is at immediate risk of serious harm or abuse. In such cases, relevant external bodies, authorities, or emergency services may be contacted.

6. Corporate & Educational Bookings (Schools & Organisations)

  • B2B Agreements: Separate proposal agreements or purchase orders may apply to school or corporate clients.

  • Payment Terms for Organisations: Invoices issued to schools or business entities are subject to standard payment terms (e.g., 30 days from date of invoice) as specified on the contract/invoice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content provided as part of our coaching programmes—including course modules, workbooks, graphics, frameworks, and website material—is the exclusive intellectual property of Louise Powell Consulting. Materials are provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or resell any materials without prior written permission.

8. Data Protection & Privacy

We are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Any personal or health-related details you share via our booking forms or sessions are handled with strict privacy. 9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Louise Powell Consulting shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your participation in our coaching programmes or use of our website. Coaching outcomes depend heavily on individual engagement, and specific results cannot be legally guaranteed.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
